The dilemma, it's eating me alive #

Perfection does not exists.
But I can sure as hell at least try to make the best out of my tracks.

Truth is, I've spent a lot of years trying to master the art of mixing with as few bucks possible spent on gears, it's a poor-person mentality thing, you won't get it.

Basically, I ain't having the allowance to pay myself expensive monitors. This seems counter intuitive to a lot of people who think "spend much in order to succeed", a very americanized mindset, but it's hard to justify spending so much for myself and let my daughter playing on shitty instruments (and someone lately has been forgetting to switch off one of my pedals btw, just saying…)

Anyway, yes, it's a hobby… granted, one that occupies a lot of space in my head, rent-free. A hobby of many many years, a passion, a meaning?

Now I'm definitely talking out of my arse but you get the picture, it's a bit more than just a hobby.

But I kept touching the things and see what could be improved, how to boost things elegantly, not distorting too much of it, making it loud but not too much and "oh my god is this instrument in the right place?".

But still, because I'm a dumbass, I touched the things – over and over again, sue me – and I think it sounds better.

I DUNNO, massive shrug.

To me I've made some notable improvements but it's all on paper and it's not really a scientific process, right? I can't hear the shits so you know what, fuck it, it's done, there, it's released in TWO FUCKING DAYS, let's go!
